Thinking ahead to the restore of 60 gigs of mp3s to my other empeg started me thinking about how tough it will be do do that. So assuming that I have all of my mp3s stored in a directory structure like this:

empeg\genre\artist\album\

Is there a way to do a mass transfer and retain the playlist structure on the empeg?

Or, do I need to create each playlist manually?

Greetings!

With original emplode, as long as you have the directory structure, emplode will mimic the structure in playlists.

For more information, Jon, there is even a FAQ entry with pictures here. You drag the parent folders onto emplode and it creates the tree structure for you, automatically creating playlists named after your directories.

You can also group-select multiple folders if you like, of course.

Again, thanks! I use drag and drop in Emplode all the time, but I didn't realize that it would set-up playlists for you that mimics your directory structure.

Very cool.
