I cannot seem to get a connection to my player, how do I point my laptop to the player if i use ethernet?

The two easy things to check for are to make sure you have Hijack installed, and also, in order to run an ehternet cable from the laptop directly to the empeg, it must be a crossver cable, not a normal one.

I happen to do it with normal cables with the use of a small hub. Sometimes people drop by with their machines.
