Hi all!

Today I wanted to reformat my empeg's harddrives, so I installed the disk builder utility.

Of course, the disk builder mentioned that the drive was already built.

The FAQ says : "If the disk drive wasn't blank, the formatter may complain by saying 'disk is already built'. If this happens, you must press the Enter key in Hyperterminal before it will begin erasing the disk."

Well, here's the problem. No matter how much I press 'enter' (in hyperterminal), still nothing happens. I can see the empeg boot just fine otherwise, but it just stops at "Press return to continue anyway, anything else will start a shell" (BTW, dropping to a shell doesn't work either)

Am I doing something wrong here??

Nevermind, I figured it out.

For some reason that Hyperterminal profile I created some time ago didn't alow me to actually type something anymore, only viewing.

I've created a new profile and now it works no problem!

You probably had flow control enabled.
