I don't know if anyone noticed, but I updated several of the pictures on the web site. Where there used to be renderings or Mark 1 pics, there are now real photos of the Mark 2.

I'm quite pleased if nobody did notice, as it shows how close the real player looks to the original CAD! The pic with the four different screen colours is still a rendering, but now that we have the screens I'll update that soon.

I didn't notice, not because the pics were similar, but because I haven't been peeking at the site recently. The CAD renderings were very good, though, and really do look exactly like the photos.

And anyway, you cheated- you used the quickie pics from the preview page. I see a couple of new ones (I like the side view and the open-top shot, nifty), but where's the "grr baby" shots with the purple velvet background?

It is porn. A different kind, but really the same thing.

For instance, I have a friend who likes those Discovery Channel documentaries about tornadoes and hurricanes. She calls it "weather porn". Those catalogs that are filled with routers, cables, and other networking products are, to me, "sysadmin porn". Etc.

Well, okay, this one, used on the "hardware" page, is definitely the same as this one from the preview page. Perhaps that's not one of the ones you put up yesterday, but I didn't notice it until today, therefore I thought it was supposed to be one of the new ones. The one on the home page here looked like a crop of this one from the preview page, but I was wrong, it's obviously a new photo. Whoops, sorry.

I do like the new shots, though. That side-view one is nifty.

I call that sad - allthough, I aint hyped up as most (or is that all) of you about the MK2, just looking at those pics makes me ask myself why I bought a MK1 (I'm still glad I did).

As for seeing some components behind the display, what would it matter, there isn't much to see is there, I mean, on the MK1 it would have looked a little odd, but with the way the new facia is, it's not going to effect it very much (juding by the pix that is)
