I'm no heavy dictaphone user, but I have taken a few notes on my recent Nokia phone. The sound quality is good (it has a good mic, as you would imagine) but the reason I mention it is because it is simple to email the file directly from the phone. In the actual voice recorder program its just options -> send -> email -> 'type in the address, subject, message' -> green button. Very painless, and skips out the whole connecting to a computer step.

The big limitation is the clips have a maximum length of one minute, which probably kills the idea. You can attach multiple clips to an outgoing email though.
