Does anyone have a solution to the current lack of an AM tuner option? My registration number is somewhere in the 4000s, so I'm hoping to get an Empeg unit some time this summer. But I really don't want to do without AM radio. It seems to me, in the UK at least, that FM is for music, and AM is for news, sport, discussion etc. With an Empeg, I won't be stuck for music, so if I want to play radio, I am more likely to want to tune into the sort of stations that you find on AM.
I have spoken to our best local car stereo installers, and they could not come up with any suggestions. The car I am planning to put it in only has space for one head unit, otherwise I guess it wouldn't be too difficult to have two head units linked to the amp. I don't mind some sort of bodge job while we wait for the AM/FM module to come out. Has anyone found a way to hook some sort of AM tuner into their empeg-based system?
