I just tried to reinstall it again...here is what I got:

Notice, it does say "failed" in the text above. Could it have something to do with the command you posted earlier (chmod 755 /usr/local/bin/emphatic) and that the text that is in my current "install-emphatic.ftp" is:
quote site rw
cd /usr/local/bin
bin
put emphatic
quote site chmod 755 emphatic
quote site ro
quit

Is the only file that should be in the usr/local/bin area "emphatic"?
