erotic led blink - 01/08/2002 22:55

rather than causing the screen to flash every time a remote button is pressed, is there a command to cause the blink led to flash?

thanks.

I don't think it's possible, as the blink is really more of an unavoidable bug, IIRC.

However, that's not why I responded. I really just wanted to know what it was about this idea that's ``erotic''.

I'm pretty sure it's hardwired so that you can either have the VFD on, or the LED flashing... You can, however, with hijack pick out whatever speed of flashing LED turns you on once your empeg is off.

I think it's erotic in the same way that 'install-porn' is. ie it ain't

Damnit. Now every time I look at the empeg when it's on standby I keep thinking of this thread!

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and venture to say that he meant "erratic"...

...but the username makes 'erotic' all the more intriguing

erotic.
the question, which we seem to deviated from, was brought about by reading the changelog for hijack. i noticed this : "v272 Tony's sick idea: 'keypress_flash=1' to blink display on remote button presses."

i just thought it might be coo to have the led flash whenever i pushed a remote button. as for the erotic, it stems from mlord saying it in one of his posts, although it is strangely hypnotic to watch at night when its the only light in the room.

This was kinda discussed in another thread. Mark said it was not really possible in this post.
