IR Rx and Remote Display

I have just bought a Version 2A and would like to buffer the display thrugh the units back or wirelessly then on to a remote display. Where can I find the VFD used for sale.
I intend to reproduce the display, IR and buttons at a remote, low profile, location.

I have read the FAQ's.
I am capable at soldering.

And skilled in electronics design, I would hope
