Access / Excel question

I have a low level of Excel knowledge and even less about Access so I figured I would ask and see if anyone can help me with this.

I have an Access database which contains part prices. I have an Excel spreadsheet which I need to record which parts I use along with other info including prices. Can I somehow get Excel to query the Access database and get the prices ?

Access can save it's data in Excel format...

You should be able to query an Access database in Excel by clicking data on the Excel menu at the very top and then Import External Data, New Database Query, and MS Access Database under the Databases tab. Keep in mind this varies somewhat with office version.
