Looking for a kind American... - 14/04/2003 06:28

Hi!

About a fortnight ago I was in Portland catching up with friends. While there I ordered two 40GB hard drives through eBay for my and my brother's empegs, as they basically cost almost double here what I got them for there. The only catch was that by the time the sellers had actually got around to sending their parcels and they wended their windy way to Portland, my journey had come to an end. At least one of them has now been returned to sender (thanks to Day's Inn forgetting they ever knew me - I must not have tipped them enough - never got the hang of tipping) and I'm now pursuing the other.

Is there some kind person over in the USA who would mind receiving these two parcels and then shipping them in some appropriate container and via some nominally speedy delivery service, to either myself or my brother (muzza here on the BBS, ICYDN). Naturally I'd pay all the postage and associated costs; I just need someone to be able to take delivery of the things and send them on to me.

Please let me know by reply, return post or by emailing me

Thanks in advance,

Paul

BTW, thanks to those who replied to this; Rob Riccardelli has agreed to forward the hard drives on to me. Thanks, Rob!

Have fun,

And I'd just like to add:

Rob is an absolute legend. He's not only shipped both units, one when he was having a pretty crappy week, he's accepting payment in alcohol. That's truly outstanding. Rob, you're an honorary Australian!

Thanks once again,

Paul
