Just tried to sync some songs for the first time...got all the way done said sync failed at stage 5 gave me a error like x0000 and now it says RIO and nothing happens!! what do i do???

reload the 1.03 software and use that.

If it mentions "Stage" numbers, then he's already running 1.0x.
Just
run fsck, and then
delete your database files, as detailed in the FAQ.

If the player is stuck on the Rio logo and does not boot any further, you probably have a faulty drive cable. email
