Car mount sleds gone?

In a previous post back somewhere I can't seem to find, I believe that Rob had stated that they have plenty of car mount sleds in the UK. USA store is now reporting them as all sold out. Are these turning into the same type of deal as the tuner modules or can more be shipped over the pond?

No it's the screen kit kind of deal, not the tuner module kind of deal. We have them in Cambridge - they need to be assembled and shipped.

SONICblue UK (i.e. not Cambridge) are tied up with a stock check at the moment - as soon as that's done I'll work with them to get some of this stock over to the USA, or maybe open up the UK store worldwide for a while.

Maybe we could talk you into letting us buy some cases also if you open up the store worldwide. I bought 2 empegs mainly so I could have 2 mounts. The 10Gb wasn't much more than a mount during the sell off. I haven't opened up my 60Gb as of yet, I've been too busy ripping and uploading to the 10Gb and playing with the graphics. I would also like to be able to buy a red face plate for my Nova when available.

We'd sell out of cases in moments if we opened the store up to the US - we only have one box left (I guess about 50 pieces).

At one time we planned to make a Rio version, but the vendor in the far east took forever and then failed to qualify for some reason.

Laura, there's a FAQ entry here about case alternatives.

I've found another Case Logic case that'll work, the PDV-1, it supposed to hold a portable DVD player, but it has enough room to hold the empeg, and all it's cables. Has a nice handle on it, and you could also use the strap if you wanted to.
