In JEmplode v54, if I set the properties of a playlist (e.g. to set the date on a compilation so that it can be sorted correctly), they get applied to all its descendents (edit: actually, only those that had a different initial value appear red in the GUI). A workaround is to move the children to a temporary playlist, modify the original playlist, then copy the children back, but that's a real pain.

It seems like the children are accedintally being included in the edit group, as some of the fields appear yellow, as when you edit a bunch of items that have differing values.

This problem doesn't occur if I edit the relevant fields in the Advanced tab, so that's a possible workaround, but that's still inconvenient.

I'm positive that editing playlist properties worked properly in v43.

This was actually a feature ... In all but compilation albums, I think this is a desirable thing. Hmm. Let me think about how to deal with this one.

Is there a way to turn this off?

I can see where it might be a useful thing to have (if you misspelt a tag on a complete hierarchy, for example), so maybe the dialog could do with a check box for "apply changes recursively to all children"?
