Anybody seen one of these? I don't think I can be bothered to build my own HTPC, is the Artisan LX any good?

Not sure of that exact one, but that form factor is pretty popular out there. The one you pointed to seems like the HP one with a hot running Pentium 4 and possibly noisy fans.

To me, the Shuttle M1000 seems like a better choice for a component sized box, as it uses a Pentium M processor to help keep it quiet.

The M1000 does seem nice. I've been eyeing it, but I question whether the CPU is fast enough to handle 1080i/1080p content. Any idea?

Yup, also saw this which has an M processor and passive cooling:

Expensive though, maybe I will build my own...
