Hi all,

I'm replacing my 30GB drive with a 60GB one. My bro is taking the 30GB one. This drive is my 2nd drive, so what would be the best to use copy commands like the FAQ states? Or use HiJacks FTP?

Thanks

I'd say use the copy commands, exactly like it says in the Drive Upgrade Guide.

The FTP thing is only useful if you want to do it in two stages (to your PC then back to the player). If that's what you want, then fine. But the copy commands in the Drive Upgrade Guide will take less than half as long because it's only one transfer instead of two.

Sweet!

That's what i'll do, I just want to replace the drive copy the stuff off of it.

Now if I put this in my bro's player as a 2nd drive. Can I save the files? Cause some of the stuff he wants (he only has a 10GB drive)

I'm assuming since my 2nd drive has the Developer image on it (From when I did the drive upgrade) He could just delete the stuff he doesn't want then make it the secondary?

Tony you must have some sort of auto reponse set up! You replied like 30 seconds after I posted!!!!!!

No, because some of the FIDs you've got on your current drive will conflict with the FIDs he's already got on his current drive. You have to wipe the drive before you give it to him, and then copy the files the old fashioned way. Of course, I would never advocate music piracy. He has the original albums, right?

I was answering other posts while I worked on my playlists on the Jupiter.

I forgot about them little FIDs guys That makes perfect sense.

He and I listen to mostly the same music so we buy the cd's and share them ... There's no way he and I are doing to buy 2 of everything!
