I definitly agree with Tony, forgetting a "rom" or "sync" command definitly can cause this. Happened to me a few times when I forst started working on my Mark 1.

Of course right now my clock is not visible either after an upgrade, and last night I realised why, I forgot the fonts. So it is sitting there ticking, but not visible :-)

ZIP file version..

The only thing left is the "fuzzy clock" that KDE has. =] You can define a fuzzy level. High fuzziness would make today "Middle of week" and low fuzziness being "Twenty five past nine".. Put that on my 1.1 wishlist heh.

Thank you! Wow it works!

Now we need a clock sync hack between the Empeg with Clock Visual, Swiss wristwatch and the car clock ;-)

Bye.....

I've hacked a version with 24h and date display.
(i.e. "00:29 19.07")

perhaps someone finds it useful:

Yeah, I have a feeling you're right, Tony. I know I forgot to do it once, but I had thought I went back in and did everything again afterwards... apparently not. Oh well. It's working perfectly now and hasn't disappeared yet.

Thanks for the help!
