Maybe. Turn it off and find out.

Yup- that was it. One more tid-bit learned!

Turn your player on, and then press the knob "in" and hold until the Hijack menu appears...

Um, yah... heh...

Thanks Mark and Yoogie for the info and indulgence!

Please can someone let me know if I am hit by the powerjack problem or if it could still be something else??

I'm not sure about my results...

Thanks in advance

Ohmic Resistance, measured with 200k

1 - 2 ~ -140
1 - 3 ~ -70
2 - 3 ~ 6,2 (at 20k)

With the empeg Mk2a circuitboard completely removed from the metalwork, and with all cables / connectors unplugged from it (including AC power cable unplugged), I measure these values from a (mostly) working unit:

1 - 2: very very high resistance ( > 20Kohm)
1 - 3: less than 1 ohm == no resistance
2 - 3: very very high resistance ( > 20Kohm)

Cheers

Thanks a lot for your help...

I will try to replace the power jack and see if this helps.

Kind regards
