Place Karma in docking station.

Run Rio Music Manager.

In the left-hand pane, select the Karma.

Retrieving databases... (or whatever that message says).

After a pause, songs and playlists and such are displayed in the right-hand pane.

Select one of those songs.

Either right-click on the song and select "PLAY" from the flyout menu, or press the PLAY button in the lower-left hand corner of the screen.

Cannot play song.
No such file or directory(0x80041002)
OK

Was that ever supposed to work?

Not got my Karma nearby but didn't that just play the local copy on your HD?

Okay, but then why the strange cryptic error message, and why ungray the play button when you select one of the Karma songs, and why give a "play" option on the rightclick menu at all?

I can verify that mine does the same thing (although I don't get the "0x80041002" reference. Different OS, maybe? I'm running Win XP)

Other than that, I have nothing helpful to offer.

Hrmm. Trying to think if it ever actually did anything. I've not used RMM in quite a while now so I might be remembering something else.

Not that I recall. Maybe the logic responsible for disabling the button got broken in one of the releases?

Hey, it doesn't crash.

Well, actually, it does. Not on my computer, but on a friend's computer who was the person who tried the thing that I reported at the top of the thread. On her computer, every single time she closes RMM, it generates a page fault. I'm going to investigate that in more detail when I can get my mitts on her computer directly.

I meant that feature specifically, though

Yeah, I know. Was just being silly.

Anyone else ever hear of RMM throwing a page fault every time it exits? For instance, if it's a common problem with a simple, known workaround?
