I got something like 93 while I was sitting at Lindbergh Field waiting to come home Saturday night. Sadly it gave me "wrong" on an answer I got right, probably managed to insert an unprintable character or something. So it's probably 93.5-95. Still not great.

42.8, should have used the spell checker... Could've had a few more.
It all comes back to me when I read the lines with the answers in them, though. I can't believe I missed some of them...

My score's a little disappointing -- I thought I'd get more than that.

In my defense, I had some other music playing at the time, and I can never remember the names of songs when something else is playing.

On the other hand, I'm probably a product of the 90's. Yeah, that's it. Bring on the 90's lyrics quiz.

46.5 due to several misspellings and tranpositions.

not bad for being 12 when the 80's ended. I could have sworn that it was Jesse's girl...who spells it Jessie?

Same thoughts here, but according to AMG it's "Jessie's Girl"

90 without the "where did you find this" question.

I like some of the responses... "1 point to you for getting this one right. -600 for style to Peter Gabriel for putting sperm in a video. " hehe.

Got 38 something myself - and that was with quite a few of the multipoint "obscure" ones correct. Lot's of flashbacks when I checked the answers, but also not all that few that I had no recollection of whatsoever...

Yeah, but that's the beauty of this quiz. I'm sure a lot of us would have gotten more of them if we had at least a portion of the melody of the song to jog our memory... But at least for me, with just the words sitting there, it becomes hard to get the song constructed in my mind, and I can't get the blank words. I got a pretty high score, simply because I love 80's music and I have all but 3 or 4 of the songs on this list on my empeg... But there were many songs that I know every word to, were on this quiz, but still couldn't get because I couldn't place the song to the limited number of words. (Full-text searches of my brain's lyrics subsystem are scheduled for the next release, though.)

Yeah, that is weird. Somehow she thought you were her mom. hhhhh.

83. Warm smell of colitas Rising up through the air
Ok either 1)You've read The Straight Dope or 2)You are a god. Either way 10 points.
I can't believe an Eagles song was worth 10 points. But she was right about The Straight Dope

80 and also a bit disappointed, especially with the forehead-slappingly "of-course" ones when you read the answers.

Although 5 points for "Africa" and 4 for Human League?? - not exactly obscure 80s stuff there!

And a welcome appearance for "Safety Dance" without embarrassment

I'm sure it was 10 points because of the spelling.

I actually typoed Billie Jean even though I knew how to spell it right.

over 50 points for me. Some of those songs are among my all time favorites. Others are ones that I loathed more than anything.

Very fun quiz, thanks for the link!

God, and I got the line wrong on an INXS song that my band used to cover. And well, too.

God, I'm so pathetic.

I love this comment:

Sting.. the guy who sings about stalkers AND pedophiles (if you read the lyrics). (2 pts.)
Too cool that he brings it up. "Every Breath You Take" is about a stalker, yet people think it's this romantic love song... enough so that people play it at weddings. Don't people ever read lyrics?

Umm, no. Have you ever asked anyone if they know what "Red Barchetta" is about when it comes on the radio?

". . . it's about this guy and he drives this car . . . but it's set in the future where it's illegal . . . oh never mind."

That's been played on the radio? I thought only people who owned the album ever heard that song.

Are you kidding? They play it on the radio all the time! . . or at least they did in Houston in my pre-empeg days.

Yeah, right....... just leave all the answers blank and get 100% (if you're into dance music genres anyway)
