Okay I copied all the music off my player before I upgraded. What would be the best way to sync it back over to the empeg? I know that if you do really large xfers emplode hangs once in awhile.

"Upgraded"? Do you mean the hard disk or the software?

Upgrading the software doesn't erase the music. If you upgrade the hard drive, the upgrade guide gives instructions on how to preserve the music.

You should be able to get the music files straight off of the old hard disk just fine. Still, even now, assuming you didn't format the old drive yet. Instructions in the upgrade guide.
