The Beeb just told me so.

You got 7 right!
Congratulations! You are a true geek and code monkey.

Aww crap. I got 6. I didn't know the one about the 1 billion seconds since the epoch.

Yeah 6 here. I guessed wrong on the 1 billion seconds thing. Oh well I don't need some stupid quiz to tell me I'm a geek.

Just the fact that we are here on this board is a pretty serious clue.

I'm still not sure whether I *really* knew that one or whether I just *wanted* to think that I knew it and was really guessing

What? I thought everyone here did that. Was wondering why no one was clamoring for me to add more forums on subjects like chicken decapitation.

FYI, I also got 6 right, missing only the 1-billion-seconds question.

I was trying to figure out which Space war game that was - I never had access to a PDP-1 (sob) but had a game called Spacewar which ran on the 6809 (Dragon, or Tandy in the US) and one that (I think) had the same name which runs on the Osborne 1 luggable. I could power the thing up and check, but I haven't tried since I last moved house.

p.s. 7 correct, but I did guess the billion seconds answer

Come on guys. It's not that difficult to figure out the epoch question.

SPOILERS
We know the epoch was at midnight. All of the answers were the same day with different times. So we just need to figure the time. So:

1,000,000,000 mod (60 * 60 *24) = x
1,000,000,000 mod 86400 = x
6400 = x

6400 seconds is 106 minutes, 40 seconds, or 1 hour, 46 minutes and 40 seconds. So 1:46 AM.

SPOILERS

You guys are so not geeks.

Yup, I remember counting this down on IRC when it happened.

Ok, that just made me realize I'm a geek with a bullet.... There was another significant geek time event that I counted down too, but I can't remember what it was off the top of my head.
