After installing Hijack. When I'm in the track view there's a thing that says "Plays: #" # seems to be how many times I've played the song. It gets in the way of some of the album names. Anyone know how to turn it off?

You can't.
Many of us really want this removed.
You can, however, edit a file on the empeg that contains the string ``Plays:'' and remove it, so that you're just left with the number, which could help. I can't find the post about it right now. I'll update in a little while.
It's not part of Hijack, BTW. It's in the standard empeg software player.

Maybe we could get this added to the FAQ, Tony? I know you don't like to put bug stuff in there, but it doesn't look like this misfeature is going away, as no one from empeg has said much about it.

Question, in the next release, if you disable the play counter? will it keep incrementing, and just not show the counter on the screen? Or does it disable it completely?

Since the option is under the [Display] section, I think that's a hint that it only affects the display.

Personally, I'd keep the beer, drink it myself, and probably end up talking to the empeg anyway...
