I actually saw that doll in a Newbury Comics months ago. And of course it does make the perfect present for someone I know... just glad it wasn't me that had to go into the store to get it.

I did, but I kicked him out in 1996 for running up $3700 in phone sex bills on my Sprint account while I was out of town. Sprint refused to drop the charges after the "investigation." The results told to me was, "We determined it came from your house so you have to pay."
Now I don't doubt the fact my old friend Spanky did this, but I was quite upset at the lack of helpfulness by Sprint. I ended up paying $2900 to clear the bill and sued Spanky in small claims and won. Never saw a dime from him. Seen him once since then at a show, was gonna "talk" to him, but he "beat it" rather quickly...
I need to scan in the bill, all 14 pages, two weeks worth of phone calls, and the story behind it all. It's amusing 7 years later. I need to figure the interest on the $3750 judgement I was awarded...

Wow... that wasn't exactly what I meant. But then I suppose I do see a few unique cases. The guy I know is off a little, and I wouldn't put that kind of thing past him, but he has his own money and a good job, etc. He pays his bills, and has some very nice toys, also.

Not those kind of toys! He paid full price for a couple of Mk2's "back in the day." Only he's so busy they're still in the boxes.

He worked for a company; designed a switch router for them. That company was purchased by Cisco; the result was a comfortable living. He has since received a better job offer and left Cisco. The top toy right now is a '90 Mercedes 5-something SEL that he had shipped down to Florida by train and done over by a company called, um, RennTech, I think.
