From some previous posts I gather that the Mark 1 player consumes pretty much the same amount of power whether it is actively playing or 'off' (with the LED flashing). I also gather that the supply voltage to the player has a few important threshold values. Something like (correct me if I'm wrong):

"11 volts < V < 13 volts"
Player operates as normal.
"7 volts < V < 11 volts"
Player shows 'battery-low' on display and will not operate.
"V < 7 volts"
Supply rails in player collapse, it is totally inactive.

My question is this: What current will a Mark 1 player draw in each of these states? I'm assuming that for "V < 7 volts" the current must be pretty much nil. I'd be interested to know if the current for "7 volts < V < 11 volts" is much smaller than for normal operation.
