Pet peeve with all recent mice: all mice these days seem to have the "ball" (or the sensor) under the palm of the hand. Back in the good old days of the Microsoft dove bar mouse, the ball was under the fingertips. This alone made the most important difference in the ergonomics of the thing. With the ball in the right place, you could do so much more with so much less hand movement.
