I found the page by a search on the iron part number, and didn't check the base number. Silly me. However, for what it's worth I have had a 210ESD iron, when I was checking to see if it would connect to the 988 base (it doesn't, different voltage and connector pinout), and certainly that one had a ceramic element. pca _________________________ Experience is what you get just after it would have helped...
