Hello, after some advice here. I'm speccing out a new PC and have a quick query.

Core 2 Duo? Or Core 2 Quad?

Core 2 Duo (E8500) 3166 MHz 6144 KiB 1333 MT/s
Core 2 Quad (Q9300) 2500 MHz 2 × 3072 KiB 1333 MT/s

These are the same price, both 45nm. Isn't the quad almost twice the speed? I'm confused - what am I missing here?
