It's more-or-less pristine, but a little bit dusty. I had to tear open the plastic bag that the remote control is in. It boots; it plays music. I didn't check whether it rips or not, because I don't have the USB/Ethernet adapter needed for CDDB lookups.
It has ripped successfully in the past, because there's 4 CDs on there which I'd forgotten about.
It does suffer from the PSU whine problem, but I'll dig out the replacement PSU which solves that.
