Ok, I could not access the shell in any way. I tried several times, and never had such a hard time to do so in the many times I did in the past. I tried CTRL-C and Q at least ten times.

So, i decided to reinstall the empeg software. I used the image bult by Mark, including LBA48 support and HiJack 464, via serial cable. The installation was reported as successful. All on the display looked fine.

At the end of the process, the empeg logo stayed there, while I seem to remember that the Empeg was supposed to finally reboot. The Emplode upgrade wizard instead said all was fine. I clicked finish. I manually rebooted the Empeg by unplugging power.

And now, nothing has changed.

I am trying to boot my spare empeg by plugging this HDD into it.
