I didn't intend for it to be a permanent thing, I just wondered if it worked at all once you changed it to DHCP. To rule out things like... A digit wrong or something wrong in the non-dhcp info you're feeding it, or perhaps the router not routing something to it because it's not in the router's NAT lookup table or whatver. It's just as a test.
