Just as an aside, you shouldn't need a crossover cable with your powerbook. Apple has used autoswitching ethernet ports for quite a while. Did you try it with a straight through?

Anyway, yes, I did try both ways, not that it matters, I guess.
Like I said, it could pick up the player, just couldn't read anything from it. It stayed in a perpetual "Loading" state.
It wasn't until I switched back to Jemplode v2.0b (or whatever) that it worked.
I also noticed that my older version of Jemplode came with many more support files. The latest one I downloaded from jempeg.org only came with a single file, jemplode.jar.
Anyway, it doesn't matter too much, I guess. It seems I can do what I need to do.
Anyone know if these files will also work under Xwindows? I tried using java -jar but no luck.
