Don't forget security issues. :) Many exploits have been committed due to bounds overruns lately.

No kidding! You're right. Although many of those were just Denial of Service attacks which crashed the driver where the overrun landed. But yeah, some crafty guys have inserted jumps into the overrun data. That crap scares me.
