Um, I wouldn't apply power to it until I was sure there was nothing broken or shorted on the inside. From the looks of it, the connections on the back (serial, ethernet, etc) were stressed and there might be broken traces as a result. Also the disk drive tray might have been driven into the system board or the display board. So don't apply power unless you completely dismantle it and check everything carefully.

Honestly, I'd just send it to David and have him look at it without even applying power...
